Al Milad General Trading Co. LLC is part of of the Rocmet Corporation Group and has stockyards in Industrial Area No. 11 and Industrial Area No. 18 in Sharjah, UAE where it holds ready stocks of Desert Rose/Beige, Crema Marifil, Dark Emperador, Nero Marquina and Rose Alicante in excess of 25,000 m2 polished and unpolished slabs, polished tiles, steps and risers. The Company has easy access to Jebel Ali Port, which is connected by all major shipping lines to different destinations worldwide.

Other than UAE Desert Rose has been extensively used in Oman, China, Korea, India and South America. In Oman it has been used for all the Royal Palaces and prestigious projects of the Diwan of Royal Court, Muscat.

Production Process and Quarrying Information:

Desert Rose/Beige is produced in Oman using state-of-the-art quarrying and factory equipment with an investment exceeding US$ 50 million in a marble quarry and factory located at Ibri, Oman.  Our factory has the latest gangsaws, block cutting machines, tiles and slabs polishing lines and a fully automated resin filling plant to ensure complete water proof ness and high gloss.

We can supply marble of high quality consistently within the range of approved samples for small and large building projects, requiring marble quantities in excess of 100,000 square meters.

Quality Control:

We work closely with the factory in implementing a stringent quality control and quality assurance program at the quarry  and the factory, where by every  single  finished tile or slab can be  traced back to quarry face from where it has been extracted.This ensures that selection of material delivered to projects is in compliance with range of samples approved by Client/Consultant.

Finishes:

Desert Rose can be supplied in different types of surface finish such as polished, honed,   and sand blasted and bush  hammered.
